Milena Quaglini takes her own life on October 17, 2001 in the women's prison of Vigevano, where she is awaiting a sentence for the murder of Angelo Porrello, at the time of the facts her cohabitant. This is not, however, the only murder she has committed: Milena has already killed, Milena kills the violent men who abuse her. Yet, this time no extenuating circumstances seem to be able to save her from the sentence that will keep her away from her children, from the possibility of a normal life. Milena Quaglini's is one of the best-known news cases in Italy. Lending her voice, Elisa Giobbi weaves the web of thoughts that crowd her mind. A journey through the meanders of a soul clouded by pain, alcohol and the memory of a childhood of beatings and humiliations. His long story - interspersed with official documents - returns a crude and sincere investigation into human nature, responsibility and guilt, survival instinct and gender-based violence. From this investigation emerges all the fragility of a woman forced to suffer, the ease with which the victim can become an executioner, a pain turning into depression, the absence of love in a sin to be expiated.
